A Bit About Me
I have over 23 yrs of design and leadership experience at leading product companies building desktop, web, mobile, wearable & Speech applications. He holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Design from IIT Mumbai and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. I have published papers, patents and have been a speaker at many conferences and colleges. I am an advocate of Design Thinking and has conducted many workshops.
I have played multiple roles ranging from VP of Design to being a design consultant and entrepreneur. Recently I was head of design (Sr.Director) at Flipkart, Bangalore. I led design for consumer shopping experience that includes shopping flow, cart to checkout, fintech, games, videos, grocery, voice design, etc. I built a team of 150 product designers, user researchers, content and copy writers and creative designers.
In the past I was Director UX at athenahealth & Intuit. At Intel, California I was the UX Strategy and Design leader. Prior to this, I was Chief Researcher at LG R&D Lab in Seoul, South Korea. I have also worked at enterprise software companies across India namely Oracle in Hyderabad and Siemens in Pune. I nurtured my entrepreneurial skills as Design head for Naukri.com in Noida and later founded my own consulting firm in Pune. Early in my career, I was an Industrial designer working for Piaggio scooter in Pontedera, Italy.
